MagID, which uses barcodes printed in magnetic ink, is patented technology which sits between RFID and visual barcodes. Originally developed for the secure document sector, MagVision also offers solutions for brand packaging, where products can be tracked and traced along their life journey to help measure the transition to circularity. MagID codes are simply printed onto brand packaging, labels, or documents, providing every item with a unique, yet hidden identify. Tracking, authentication, and destination data can be accessed via MagVision’s cloud-based system after scanning the code. The platform supports MagID codes, but also visual barcodes and RFID tags.
