Join the Conversation: AIM Launches the NextGen Supply Chain Tech Discord Community
The technologies powering the supply chain are changing quickly. From RFID and barcode systems to artificial intelligence, IoT, automation, digital product passports, robotics, computer vision, and emerging identification technologies, professionals entering the industry today are working in an environment that looks very different from even a few years ago. AIM created the NextGen Supply Chain Tech Discord community to give the next generation of industry professionals a place to connect, learn, ask questions, exchange ideas, and build relationships with others interested in the technologies shaping the future of supply chain operations.
NextGen Supply Chain Tech provides a place where conversations can happen throughout the year. We want the community to become a resource for peer-to-peer learning, professional development, networking, technology discussions, industry education, and collaboration. Whether you are interested in RFID, AI, 2D barcodes, automation, emerging technologies, career development, industry trends, or simply connecting with others across the supply chain ecosystem, you are invited to join the conversation.
Join NextGen Supply Chain Tech, introduce yourself, explore the channels, and start a conversation about where supply chain technology is going next.

This two-day event will help organizations understand what the transition to 2D barcodes means for scanning, printing, data management, software, packaging, traceability and business operations. Through educational sessions, case studies and panel discussions, attendees will learn why preparation is needed now, where common readiness gaps can occur and how companies can successfully plan for implementation while 1D and 2D barcodes continue to coexist. Sponsorship opportunities are available for organizations looking to increase their visibility, demonstrate industry leadership and connect their brand with professionals preparing for the next generation of barcode capabilities.
Reach out to Michael Allen if you would like to learn more about the event and sponsorship opportunities.

During this month's meeting of the AIM Visibility Technologies Industry Group, members heard from Grace Burkard, Director of Operations at the ioXt Alliance, for an in-depth look at the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark Program and what the developing cybersecurity labeling program could mean for manufacturers, retailers, technology providers, and consumers.
The United States Federal Communications Commission (US FCC) selected ioXt Alliance as the Lead Administrator for the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark program in April 2026. The voluntary program is intended to give consumers a recognizable way to identify qualifying connected products that meet baseline cybersecurity requirements.

AIM Visits the TSC Solutions Tour: Seeing AIDC Innovation in Action
AIM recently had the opportunity to visit the TSC Solutions Tour at the BlueStar US Cleveland-area office, where we saw firsthand how today’s AIDC technologies are being used to improve retail, warehousing, and supply chain operations. Thank you to the TSC Auto ID Technology team for hosting us and giving us the chance to connect with industry colleagues while exploring TSC’s printing and labeling solutions. It was great to get a look at and demo TSC’s complete portfolio, including printers, enterprise mobile computers, and labels/media. I was particularly impressed by their mobile printing solutions, which were lightweight yet durable and provided a plethora of nice features like NFC tap-to-pair. It was also awesome to see AIM Members RFIDKNOW and BarTender have a presence with their technology as well. RFIDKNOW’s Industrial Portals were integrated in the warehouse section creating precise RFID read zones at dock doors and other warehouse areas. In the retail demonstration you can see BarTender Track & Trace, which helped provide intuitive item-level tracking tools to help reduce delays, losses, and unplanned costs. The tour was a great example of how connected AIDC solutions can improve receiving accuracy, inventory visibility, item tracking, warehouse efficiency, and the in-store customer experience.
