This International Symbology Specification defines the technical requirements for the bar code symbology known as PosiCode. It specifies PosiCode symbology characteristics, data character encodation, dimensions, tolerances, decoding algorithms and the application parameters which need to be defined by users. A previous version of PosiCode (now called Limited PosiCode) has been adopted by several users and a specification for this version is included as Annex E.
