Historical overview - RF identification of animals requires that the data transmitted by a tag (data carrier) are interpretable by a transceiver (interrogator). This document specifies the standards to be used for a specific frequency for the transmission of data and the characteristics of the transmission protocols between a passive tag and interrogator.
