For many applications that require a barcode reader, a battery-powered wireless handheld device is suitable to accomplish simple reading tasks. At the point of sale, however, a variety of readers are needed to accommodate different barcode scanning volumes for efficiency of check out. The Solution Code developed the T500 cable to give businesses options for barcode reading with mobile point of sale devices. The T500 cable connects to a variety of Code readers, including Code presentation readers, to provide high efficiency with low to medium volume barcode scanning in establishments like convenience stores, pharmacies, quick service restaurants, and liquor stores. Unlike the traditional handheld options for mobile POS, a presentation barcode reader has a larger scan area to make it much easier for users to scan items at checkout, getting people through transactions faster.
